Having a website these days is a MUST!
If you are a small business offering a product or service that is not sold online, you still need a website. The days of calling or waiting until you have free time to directly contact or visit a company are gone. People want to be instantly educated on your brand, product and/or service when it’s convenient for them, even if it’s 3am.

I specialize in the ‘small business’ type website; a basic 1-10 page introduction to your brand and/ or company. Having a simple HTML site will offer a potential client a ‘face to the name’. A website will give them insight to your business while also making it more credible, which will again attract and ensure another client and sale.

Sure, anyone can use a program to just throw up any ol' site on the Internet, but using a professional is what will really make you stand out. On every site I build, I also use my SEM/ SEO knowledge to help market the site. As I state below, it is extremely important to have a user-friendly and credible site to attract and keep a potential customer. By hiring me, you will get the best of all three worlds.

*Please note for web design, I only do basic HTML sites. Right now I don’t have the time to dedicate to building intricate, scripted sites with shopping carts, forms or flash. My specialty is a small business looking for an introduction/ contact type website.

SEO

I do basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) that will get your site ranked highly in the search engines natural rankings. Google and other engines look at your website’s Meta tags, text, images and several other factors when deciding how to rank your site. The average ‘Googler’ does NOT look past the first page of search results, therefore it’s imperative that your site show up on that first page. With a few changes I can implement, your site can quickly gain a higher placement in the engines, therefore driving more traffic and ultimately more profit for you!

However, SEO is not the only step; you must also make sure your site is user-friendly and marketable to a prospective client. I know what it takes to not only make your site visible to searchers, but also how to keep potential customers once they have entered your site. You have only a moment to give a new visitor what he or she is looking for on your site. If it is not easy to navigate through your website, that possible sale will have already moved on to your competitor’s site. Your website should be a direct reflection of your brand. If you have a great product or service, but your site is sloppy, consumers will not stay. Again, I can implement some simple changes that will turn a prospect into a client.

PPC

For a more competitive company, you may decide that you want to market even more through pay-per-click search marketing (PPC). I typically start PPC campaigns on Google Adwords, but companies with a larger budget have also marketed on Yahoo and Bing (MSN) as well. Over the past few years, PPC as become a more mainstream way of marketing online. By choosing the exact types of search terms you want your ad to appear on, you can not only get more qualified traffic on your site, but many times this allows you to appear above your competitors. For smaller sites, I manage up to 500 keywords. I usually do PPC on a case by case basis.

Pricing

(Based on 1-10 Page Sites)

Web design - $35/hour
I can have a basic 1-10 page site done between 3-20 hours, again depending on how in depth the site is and how much backend work I have to do. If you already have a URL and hosting package and a background/ template/ logo made, that is less backend time I will need. The more graphics I have to make, the more time consuming. A typical 1-10 page site takes around 8 hours, so it will most likely be around $280.

SEO work - $25/ hour OR $75 Flat
Site Layout/ Navigation/ Marketing:
$25/ hour - I will give a consultation and implement the changes. This can vary quite a bit depending on how much change is needed.
$75 Consultation Only Flat Fee - If you want a consultation, but to implement the changes on your own.
I am fair and will suggest the option I think is best for you. In some cases I may suggest redesigning the site all together.

PPC – $75 monthly, non-ecommerce site, under 500 keywords.  $150 one time setup fee (if need be). Prices starting at $100 monthly for ecommerce sites or over 500 keywords.

*My prices are not set in stone since they are all time-sensative. I am fair and honest and am willing to discuss your specific needs. I will give you the best estimates and suggestions I can. If you wish to contract me for certain work, especially PPC, we can negotiate a fair price.
